Affiliate Disclosure
Affiliate disclosure? What is that?
The idea of creating a blog has been on my radar for quite some time. I love being able to give a little love to local coffee shops and eateries as well as share reviews on products that I love and use. I work hard to build trust with my community and wouldn’t recommend products or services that I don’t use personally. That being said, having a blog is a business; one that has expenses, just like any other small business. The cost of a website, domain names, search engines, and other related expenses add up so I have developed an affiliate and sponsorship policy to help offset costs. The policy is defined as follows:
- I will not promote products or services I don’t personally use. If you see me recommending something, it’s because I genuinely love how it makes my life easier.
- I seek out specific affiliate programs for things I use however if one does not have a program, I will still continue to use it and recommend it. This is simply because I believe in it and believe it truly makes my life easier or saves me money.
- I am a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for me to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.
