It’s no secret I’m a caffeineaholic as well as a foodie. I also love soda, like the old soda shops, you know the ones that have the old fashioned soda fountains? Well, it’s the 21st century and those things are more than likely old and too expensive to fix. I’ve been on a quest to find the old time soda fountains here in Vegas and while I haven’t found the vintage type shops, I did stumble across Fiiz. If you follow me on Instagram, I visit Fiiz a LOT and this is because not only are they are great place for unique soda libations, their service is impeccable, making them the best place for soda in Henderson, NV. But wait….they aren’t just for sodaholics! They have infused waters as well, made just as mashed up as their soda drinks!

What is Fiiz?

The Soda

Fiiz opened in Henderson close to a couple years ago, and only have I discovered this magical modern soda shop recently. It’s not uncommon for us to go there and grab a fun drink 2-3 times a week. We’ve essentially replaced our ice cream run with soda. I know. It’s fine. All in moderation. Anyhow…Fiiz has an extensive drink menu that includes coffee drinks (which gasp, I’ve never tried) made with Coca-Cola, Mountain Dew, Dr. Pepper and Monster Energy drinks. You can grab a printable of the menu here. I have had the Cocolada made with Diet Coke. Why? Because I love Diet Coke and regular Coke is too sweet. I also order it with my Big Mac. Yeah, I’m THAT person. I’ve also had the Jack Sparrow, however I typically substitute blackberry flavoring for the raspberry because I just like blackberries more. What can I say? Oh and both of these have cream. Have you had cream in your soda before? Mmmmm. So good.

The Water

My daughter always gets the Zen Water, which is wait for it…infused water. You can get it with regular water or soda water and it has guava, pineapple, cucumber, pear and fresh lemon. She always has it made with plain water and it’s the most refreshing drink on the planet. She’s not much for soda so this place is perfect! We each can get what we want! We also enjoy their cookies! Oh my god, their COOKIES! They are the best treat to have with your drink! They are big enough to share with at least 2-3 people. I mean, if you wanted to you could eat the whole cookie; I have. #noshame Did I mention they have a frequent drinker program? Yup. They do. And it’s all electronic. Give ’em your number and your rewards are stored right through Square. You’ll get a text with a link to view your rewards. You can redeem them for drinks, snacks, and cookies. Oh and if you pay with a credit card, it’s linked up on your rewards card! Pretty sweet huh? I’m all about not carrying 50 million loyalty cards!

The Service

Honestly, good service is hard to come by these days and great service seems to be incredibly rare. Here at Fiiz, expect to be greeted genuinely when you walk in the door. Kayla is typically working when we go and she always manages to remember us. She may not really, but heck she sure sounds like she’s known for ever. We’ve been helped by a few other peeps and they are all very friendly and personable. If you go on a weekday in the afternoon, you’ll often find young-uns hanging out at the soda bar. It’s kinda cool really. They are actually socializing and talking with each other while enjoying their sodas! We even caught a group of teens playing cards one night! I’ve always said food and drink bring people together and it’s definitely alive when you’re at Fiiz. The seating area is always clean, and inviting. It’s very industrial with reds, teals, blacks and whites so it’s bright and cheery. I would describe it as the 21st century soda fountain. It’s still a really cool place to hang out that has modern vintage charm.

The bottom line is you must go. If you’re visiting Las Vegas, you can catch them in the southeast in Henderson or in Las Vegas at their Summerlin location. You can also find them all over Utah as that’s the company’s home base. They are franchises so each of them are independently owned and operated. Fiiz is affordable treats for the whole family! It’s a great place to take the kiddos if they’ve been behaving; an awesome place to just sit and visit or if you’re feeling like a semi-hand crafted soda. My next thing to check out there is the coffee! I’ll let you know how it is! If you go, come back and leave a comment and let me know how it was! Make sure to tag me in your local coffee shop or now soda shop pics on Instagram! I’d love to add your suggestions to my travels!
