Apple is a bit more tricky as you can’t exactly use the whole apple in your coffee. This homemade caramel apple latté is easy and quicker than you think. If you’re short on time, use the microwave to heat up all but the coffee. Better yet, make a batch of apple syrup and store it in the fridge for a quick grab for those mornings you just didn’t get up early enough. Caramel Apple Latté Ingredients
As I said, this recipe is super simple. You’ll wonder why you didn’t do this a long time ago! You’ll need some dark brewed coffee, apple cider or juice (you can use instant too or bottled), caramel sundae topping and whipped cream. Simple, right? No need to worry about milk because the whipped cream will foam much like your most delicious coffee house latté. Sure you can use already prepared apple syrup or caramel syrup but it’s so much more fun when you can save money and make your own for a fraction of the price!
How to Make
Homemade Apple Syrup
Try making your own apple syrup and storing it in a glass jar in the fridge. Bring 4 cups of apple cider or juice and 1/2 cup of sugar to a slow boil, turn off heat and cool. Store in a glass container in the fridge once the mixture is completely cooled down. You’ll have enough apple syrup for coffee, tea, pancakes, waffles or to drizzle over your apple pie.This is also the perfect option if you’re a cold brew or iced coffee drinker.
Homemade Apple Pie Creamer
You can also make apple pie creamer buy mixing 1 cup of heavy whipping cream or half and half along with 1/4 c of the apple syrup. Mix and store in a glass container. Expect both mixes to last a couple of weeks in the fridge. Talk about an apple pie alá mode! Add a drizzle of the caramel sundae topping for a sweet finish to your mug of apple comfort!
